Nuru Sulley is demanding contract termination with Hearts of Oak because he thinks he’s not useful in the team again.
The 29-year-old says it is painful he’s been denied the opportunity to show what he can do in the team from the middle of last season.
Sulley has been on the fringes since a sending-off against Dreams FC on matchday 22 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
He was a starter in Samuel Boadu’s first six games since taking over from Kosta Papic and lost his place after the red card in the 2-0 defeat.
Boadu has since preferred circulating Mohammed Alhassan, Robert Addo Sowah, and James Sowernu at his central defencive positions to Nuru Sulley.
“The fun and excitement are no longer there; it’s very hurting. But like they say, not everything I can tell you,” he told Happy FM.
“It’s very painful I find myself in such a situation. I could wake up at dawn and cry a lot, it really worries me.
“I came back here to play regular football and a player of my calibre is denied the opportunity to be on the field and express my talent and technical gift.
“I’ve thought a lot about it and I can’t find the brain behind this unwarranted treatment which seems like a plan to end my career.
“It’s been almost eight months and I’ve never played football for the club I’ve always loved. However, I give my all during training sessions.
“What then is my use in the team if I can’t be playing football matches? I always ask myself whether they would’ve given the same treatment to me if I should’ve been their brother.
“The best thing is for the club to release me and for me to find a club that needs my talents. All these drama and conflicts are not needed.”
