The match day ten encounter between Berekum Chelsea and Inter Allies went the unexpected way as the joint leaders were thumped three one at home.

Victorien Adebayor scored a brace while Samuel Armah added another to give Inter Allies a three one win as Augustine Henneh grabbed a consolation for Berekum Chelsea. Prior to this fixture Inter Allies hasn’t recorded a win over Berekum Chelsea but at Berekum today Inter Allies stunned the joint leaders to a surprising three one win.

It was a hot day in Berekum as the two clubs at different ends of the table entertained football fans in Berekum but to the dismay of the home crowd. There were water breaks for the two sides to cool down in a hot afternoon fixture in the Ghana Premier League.

Inter Allies made their intentions clear when two minutes passed the half hour mark. A free-kick was awarded Inter Allies meters away from the Berekum Chelsea box, talk-of-the-day, Victorien Adebayor stepped up to it and curled it low to the side of the human wall taking them out of the picture with the ball straight to the goalkeeper. It passed in between the legs of the goalkeeper to give Inter Allies the lead in the 32nd minute.

The home side fought to restore parity but couldn’t break the lines of the visitors. The first half of the game ended one-nil in favor of Inter Allies.
Three minutes into the second half, Samuel Armah cushioned the lead of Inter Allies as the host looked on helpless with their fans on their shoulders.
Berekum Chelsea gathered momentum as Augustine Henneh struck the back of the net in the 63rd minute to give the astonished home crowd something to cheer about.

As the host seem to have been weaving their way back into the game in an attempt to seek a comeback, Victorien Adebayor, who now looks like a specter in front of goal raced down the left flank with the ball, dribbled pass a Berekum Chelsea player giving him a shooting angle and riffled it into the back of the net to give Inter Allies an assurance goal in the 83rd minute.

The brace from Adebayor means that he has scored 10 goals in 10 games while assisting four in the process
