Veteran Ghanaian Sports caster, Kwabena Yeboah has chosen Asante Kotoko midfield linchpin, Justice Blay as his best player in the Ghana Premier League so far this season. Kwabena Yeboah, who is also the President of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana rated the Asante Kotoko central midfielder above other high-profile performers in the Ghana Premier League in an interview on Joy FM.
The ace Sports Journalist cum commentator marked the Medeama SC on loan midfielder above free scorers, Victorien Zakaria Adebayor of Inter Alliers and Aduana leader Yahaya Mohammed. Both players are pegged level on eight goals each after nine matches played in the Ghana Premier League.
“Adebayor has been brilliant but Justice Blay of Kotoko has been my player of the season so far. He’s absolutely brilliant. When the fans started singing his praise I did not understand until I started taking a closer look at him”, he said.

He acknowledged the ingenuity of the Nigerien but said the dose of praises sung on the midfielder prompted him to put his eyes on him and clarify things for himself. On Sunday there were pictures of Kwabena Yeboah watching the clash between Dreams FC and Asante Kotoko at Dawu.
“The game against Hearts of Oak, he was absolutely brilliant”, he added.
Justice Blay against the Porcupines Warriors’ old nemesis, Accra Hearts of Oak scored the opener which helped Kotoko win the tie, on match day six in the Ghana Premier League and proceeded to scoop the NASCO man of the match accolade.
Blay also scored against Techiman Eleven Wonders on match day one and it was the only goal of the match that opened the season for the Kumasi outfit.
