Defender Ismail Ganiyu says he fully accepts the responsibility to lead the Asante Kotoko playing body as the new captain.
The 25-year-old takes over as captain following the departures of the main captain Felix Annan and his assistant Emmanuel Gyamfi.
Goalkeeper Razak Abalora and midfielder Mudasiru Salifu as first and second deputies, respectively.

Ganiyu said “another platform to enjoy the teaming support of the Red Army and, most importantly, putting on the famous Redshirt.
“I also take this opportunity to wholeheartedly accept the new responsibility placed on me as a leader.”
The Black Stars center-back has also signed a two-year contract extension with the 24-time Ghana champions that will keep him at the club until 2023.
Asante Kotoko will be leaving Ghana today for Dubai to continue their preseason ahead of the October 29 start date of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
