The Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) has announced signing a deal with Ghanaian beverage company Tema Craft Brewery as its official beverage partner.
The GAA said the two parties have signed a three-year deal that will run from 2021 through to 2024.
“Ghana Athletic Association has announced a multi-year and multi-pronged partnership with a Ghanaian beverage company Tema Craft Brewery (TCB), manufacturers of the Django range of beverages,” it said Monday in a statement.
“Ghana Athletics Association and brewers of the Django Brothers, Tema Craft Company have signed a three-year partnership, making TCB an official beverage partner of the GAA.
“This three-year deal will see TCB partner with the GAA in its systematic approach to growing Athletics in Ghana.”
Co-founders of Tema Craft Brewery, Karan Chimnani and Rahul Sapra expressed delight in the partnership’s signing.
“We are proud and excited to partner with the Ghana Athletics Association as an official beverage partner,” they said in the same statement.
“As a Made-in-Ghana 360-beverage company, we take great pride in supporting the “Ghana to the world” agenda.
“Ghana athletics is again in a golden era and we are thrilled to partner with the GAA in showcasing the immense talent we have to the world.”
2nd Vice President of the Ghana Athletics Association Charles Osei Asibey said the partnership will enable the association to organize one national championship a year.
“This partnership guarantees one major national championship, TCB exclusive athletics competition per year, and a separate yearly grant to support GAA developmental activities at the regional level.”
