Ghana has been drawn in Group E of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying alongside Madagascar, Central African Republic, and Angola.

The draw was conducted on Tuesday evening in South Africa among 48 teams, with 23 seeking qualification as host Côte d’Ivoire has already secured their ticket.

The Black Stars will be looking to make amends in the qualifying after producing the country’s worst Afcon performance in history at the 2021 tournament in Cameroon.

Ghana will have to finish among the top two in the group to book qualification for the 2023 Afcon tournament to be hosted in Côte d’Ivoire.

The matchday one and two games will be played between May 30 and June 14. The third and fourth round between September 19 and 27 while the fifth and final round of qualifiers will be played between March 20 and 28.
